Frequently Asked Questions

Clear explanations of our operational safety procedures, privacy limits, and device override techniques.

No. We respect your autonomy. Geolocation points are calculated locally on your hardware and shared only when you explicitly select "Not Safe". SafePing does not maintain historical tracking logs, nor do we sell or disclose location footprints to third-party data handlers or monetization entities.
SafePing relies on a strict two-way confirmation protocol to protect personal boundaries. Both users must install the application and mutually approve each other as trusted contacts before high-priority alert bypasses are activated. This prevents unsolicited pings or unauthorized alert overrides.
On iOS, SafePing utilizes the native Critical Alerts Entitlement, allowing high-priority push gateways to deliver audio cues that bypass system focus profiles. On Android, the app launches a specialized native foreground alarm service using the system ALARM audio stream, which overrides physical silent switches and active system volume settings.
We employ a strict data minimization schedule (T = 24 hours). Direct ping records, confirmation statuses, and temporary geolocation metrics are cleared automatically from all operational database relays within 24 hours of delivery confirmation. SafePing preserves zero historic trail of your safety pings on our servers.
To guarantee focused safety networks and prevent abuse, each account is strictly capped at a maximum of 5 bidirectional contacts at any given time. This focuses your emergency circle exclusively on those who matter most in your life.
